Terms & Conditions
These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the Sports Team Viewer Android application and the sportsteamviewer.com website and service (together, the “Service”). By installing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Sports Team Viewer lets you film a live sports game with an on-screen scoreboard overlay, control that scoreboard from a web browser, and optionally broadcast the game live or upload recordings to the Sports Team Viewer YouTube channel. Features, limits, and availability may change over time.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service. You are responsible for any activity carried out through your account or your recording device, and for keeping your sign-in credentials and game codes secure.
3. Filming, consent, and publication
- You are solely responsible for ensuring you have the legal right to film at your venue and to record the people who appear in your footage.
- Where participants are minors, you are responsible for obtaining any consent required from parents, guardians, schools, leagues, or organisers before filming and before publishing footage. For games involving players under 18, please follow our guidance on recording youth & children under 18: we do not encourage live public streaming of under-18 games, and if anyone declines to be streamed or recorded, you must not do so.
- You must comply with all applicable laws and with the rules of the venue, league, and competition, including any restrictions on recording or broadcasting.
- When you stream or upload footage, it is published to the Sports Team Viewer YouTube channel and becomes subject to YouTube’s terms and policies. You confirm you have the rights necessary to publish that content.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use the Service to:
- record or publish content that is unlawful, harassing, defamatory, or that infringes anyone’s rights;
- film people who have a reasonable expectation of privacy without their consent;
- interfere with, overload, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its servers;
- reverse engineer, resell, or misrepresent the Service except as permitted by law.
5. Content ownership and licence
You retain ownership of the footage you record. To operate the Service, you grant us and our providers (including Google/YouTube) the limited licence needed to host, transmit, process, and publish your content as you direct — for example, to broker an upload or live stream to the Sports Team Viewer YouTube channel at your request.
6. Device authorisation
Recording devices that upload footage are enrolled and authorised by an administrator, and that authorisation can be revoked at any time (for example, if a device is lost or misused). We may suspend or revoke access to protect the Service or comply with the law.
7. Third-party services
The Service relies on third parties, including Google and YouTube. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and policies, and we are not responsible for them.
8. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that recording, streaming, or uploading will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we are not responsible for footage lost due to device, network, or storage problems.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of footage, data, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service.
10. Changes and termination
We may modify the Service or these Terms at any time; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page. We may suspend or terminate access for any user or device that breaches these Terms.
